Diddy Denied Bail After Alleged Bribery Attempt

Additional Coverage:

The government is strongly opposing the release of Sean “Diddy” Combs on bail. They claim that he threatened witnesses and tried to destroy evidence following an alleged assault on his girlfriend, Cassie, in 2016.

Prosecutors allege that Diddy punched, kicked, and dragged Cassie during an incident at a Los Angeles hotel. After security intervened, Diddy allegedly attempted to bribe the security guard with money and later directed his staff to obtain and delete surveillance footage of the assault.

The government believes that Diddy poses a risk to witnesses and victims if released on bail. They are requesting that an appeals court uphold the lower court’s decision to deny him bond and keep him in custody until his trial.

Diddy’s legal team has appealed the bail decision, but the judge has already denied him twice. Diddy’s representatives have not yet commented on the government’s latest filing.
