Georgia murder suspect spotted walking along I-4 in Hillsborough County, FHP says

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man wanted on a murder charge in Georgia was spotted Thursday morning walking along Interstate 4 in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A trooper saw Edward Hunt III, 62, of Conyers, Georgia, walking on the grass shoulder near mile-marker 9 along the interstate. The trooper stopped to check on him and his driver’s license pinged for a warrant for murder out of Georgia, FHP said.

Mile-marker 9 is near the interchange with Interstate 75.

Hunt was detained until the warrant was confirmed, and he was then taken into custody, according to troopers.

Hunt was taken to the Orient Road Jail.
