SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) — Those living in South Carolina who applied for FEMA assistance may get a call from unfamiliar area codes and numbers.
According to FEMA, the call may involve scheduling an inspection of a damaged home or to get more information to process the aid application.
“A FEMA inspection may be required to determine whether a home is safe and livable,” officials said. “If an inspection can’t be scheduled, that may cause a delay in FEMA’s review of the application.”
People who started an application but did not complete it may also be called.
