Woman missing after Los Angeles assisted living facility closes

A woman has gone missing after the assisted living facility she was residing in closed.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Bernice Taylor, 61, was last known to be living in an assisted living facility in Sylmar.

“The location has since closed, and the family does not know where Ms. Taylor was placed,” police said.

The exact address of the facility was not disclosed, nor was the exact date the facility shut down.

“It is believed she is living in a board and care facility somewhere in the Southern California region,” LAPD added.

Bernice Taylor is described as a Black female standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Authorities added that she has a tattoo of a name on her chest and on her inner right arm as well as the initials “AA KA BA JA” on her ankle.
