2 arrested for deadly Savannah shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Ten months after a deadly shooting in Savannah, two suspects have been arrested.

In early December 2023, two people died on the scene of the shooting near the intersection of Amaranth and Perth Street, according to the Savannah Police Department.

The victims were later identified by the Chatham County Coroner’s Office as 16-year-old Semaj Floyd and 20-year-old Omarion Whitfield.

Officers respond to shooting in Cann Park neighborhood

SPD said on Friday that Vaquez Coleman, 19, and Harold Roberson, 20, were served arrest warrants in connection to the shooting.

They each face two counts of felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

The warrants were served at the Chatham County Detention Center where they are detained for separate charges, SPD said.
