Oregon Star Ruled Out with Injury Ahead of Friday Night Matchup Against Purdue

The No. 2 Oregon Ducks are riding high after a significant victory at Autzen Stadium last Saturday against the Ohio State Buckeyes . However, they must now shift their focus to the 1-5 Purdue Boilermakers .

Although Purdue’s record may not impress, they nearly defeated No. 22 Illinois last weekend and hold the record for the most top-five upsets as an unranked team, with 17 victories. You can never count them out in their home stadium.

The Ducks will also be without star pass rusher Jordan Burch for the second consecutive week. he suffered what was said to be a lower body in a practice prior to the matchup against Ohio State. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning didn’t reveal any further details on the injury this week.

Burch is a crucial asset to the defense and has arguably been their best defensive player this season. The Ducks will also be without tight end Terrance Ferguson .

It makes sense for Oregon to hold Burch out an extra week, especially with two top-25 ranked teams on the horizon if he’s able to return soon.
