Wisconsin police officer injured while breaking up fight, four arrests made

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Officers in Madison arrested four people late Thursday night after a fight broke out at an apartment building.

According to the incident report , officers arrived at an apartment building along the 1300 block of E. Washington Avenue after a dispatch call around 10:40 p.m. A woman was parked in the area as a fight broke out, and she was punched and kicked when she confronted the group.

Officers arrived and found about ten people actively in the fight.

The arrests made included:

  • 27-year-old Kiera D. Lewis of Madison, disorderly conduct and battery
  • 17-year-old Jacquon D. Gaines of Madison, disorderly conduct, obstructing and resisting causing injury
  • 26-year-old woman
  • 18-year-old woman

One officer suffered a minor injury while breaking up the fight. All were transported to the Dane County Jail.

An investigation is underway, and no more details are available at this time.
