Taylor Swift began the final US leg of The Eras Tour this weekend, and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has seized the opportunity to capitalize on the pop star’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris.
The singer-songwriter, who said she was officially backing Harris in the election race last month , began a three-night run of concerts at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on October 18.
The same day, the DNC launched its “I Will Vote” campaign , targeting youth voters in battleground states ahead of the November 5 election.
Harnessing “Swiftie” lexicon, the campaign includes a Snapchat filter where voters can declare they are “fearless” for several issues that Harris has championed, including reproductive rights and climate action.
