The Kansas City Chiefs travel to San Francisco in Week 7 to take on the 49ers in a rematch from Super Bowl LVIII.
The Chiefs are entering this game as one of only two undefeated teams (5-0) left in the league. They are also coming off their bye week, and coach Andy Reid’s 21-4 record following the bye is the best in NFL history. Kansas City’s offense has been hit hard with injuries and will have to navigate the rest of its season without their top two wide receivers in Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown.
It’s been an up and down season for the 3-3 49ers, but they are tied with the Seattle Seahawks for first place in the NFC West. Like the Chiefs, San Francisco has also dealt with plenty of key injuries – the big one being running back Christian McCaffrey – who remains on injured reserve. Having played on Thursday Night Football in Week 6, San Francisco will enter this game on a much needed 10 days of rest.
