WYNANTSKILL, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Town of North Greenbush Police Department is investigating a fatal crash in Wynantskill involving a pedestrian. The crash took place on Main Avenue around 7:43 a.m. on Friday.

According to police, the initial investigation determined that a 73-year-old man was struck by a car heading east on Main Avenue near Atlantic Avenue. The victim, a Wynantskill resident whose name has not yet been released, was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
North Greenbush Police say the driver involved in the crash has been fully cooperative with law enforcement, and neither impairment nor speed are believed to be factors at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
