The Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture (MCAAHC) and the Banneker-Douglass Museum have announced the renaming of the museum to the Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum (BDTM). The renaming, in honor of Harriet Tubman, will be officially unveiled during a special event on Friday, November 1, 2024, coinciding with Maryland’s 160th Emancipation Day.
