TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A motorcyclist died in a crash in Babson Park on Saturday morning.
A pickup truck and motorcycle collided head-on on Scenic Highway North at 8:37 a.m., according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
The motorcycle driver, identified as Kenneth Ellefson, 53, of Fort Myers, died at the site of the crash. His passenger, who was wearing a helmet, was left in critical condition and taken to the hospital.
The pickup’s driver and passenger were treated by paramedics at the site of the crash.
The crash is under investigation by PCSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit.
