Snowstorms could be on tap for Portland this year thanks to likely La Nina, meteorologists says

As Portlanders welcomed a dry and relatively warm fall morning Saturday, a group of more than 100 meteorologists and weather enthusiasts gathered for the Oregon Chapter of the American Meteorological Society’s annual Winter Weather Forecast Conference at OMSI to discuss a colder weather forecast on the horizon – one with a chance of heavier snows and stronger winds than last winter due to a likely La Niña event.
