PORTALES, New Mexico (KFDA) – The Wagon Wheel is headed back to Canyon for the first time since 2021 with the West Texas A&M Buffs defeating the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds, 42-24. A “run the rock and milk the clock” first drive for both teams. Tre’Jon Henderson kicked things off for WT with a 5-yard run. Ron Craten answered back with a 15-yard run of his own and followed that up with a 1-yard punch in to start the second quarter. The Greyhounds recovered their own kickoff after the touchdown and the Buffs held ENMU to a field goal, and the lead was 17-6 in the Greyhounds favor.
