Warming up Sunday; Dry week ahead

COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL)- A great start to the weekend today! Many areas only warmer into the mid 70s, plus we saw plenty of sunshine. Overnight lows will drop into the mid 40s tomorrow morning.

For your Sunday, expect warmer readings in the upper 70s/lower 80s. Breezy conditions will linger through the start of the week, with gusts up to 15 mph.

High pressure will remain the dominant force in our forecast for several days. This means that temperatures will continue to warm into the mid 80s by Thursday. Lows will heat into the mid 50s by Wednesday.

A weak front arrive Thursday to cool readings back into the lower 80s. This front will not bring any rainfall, and the next measurable rain is still 2 weeks away.

Tropics: Since this morning, two named storms have formed in the Caribbean: Nadine and Oscar. A stalled out front to our south will keep both of these from entering the gulf.
