Wisconsin man fatally injured after crash with tractor in Janesville

Janesville, Wis. (WTVO) — A Darlington man was pronounced deceased and a Darlington woman sustained injuries after a vehicle collision with a tractor on a bridge over the Rock River on Saturday.

Around 11:35 a.m., Rock County Deputies and Janesville Fire responded to Highway 14 for a call involving a serious vehicle crash. A 58-year-old Darlington man collided with a farm tractor pulling a large planting drill.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and a 68-year-old Darlington woman who was a passenger was taken to the Mercy Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man operating the tractor did need medical treatment.

Highway 14 was closed for six hours during the investigation.
