Sunny Skies and Rising Temperatures Ahead for Las Vegas, Southern Nevada

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas reports a warm and sunny week ahead, following a brief spell of light rain in Mohave County overnight. The rain showers are expected to dissipate early this morning, allowing for mostly sunny skies and light, variable winds throughout the day.

As the upper low currently positioned over northern Arizona shifts eastward, it will bring with it some clouds that may linger into the morning before clearing. However, temperatures are projected to rise a few degrees compared to yesterday, marking the beginning of a warming trend.

Looking ahead to the week, a shortwave ridge will establish itself over the Southwest by Monday, helping to boost temperatures back to near normal levels. The gradual increase in warmth is expected to continue, with forecasts indicating a 25% chance that Las Vegas could hit 90 degrees by Thursday or Friday.
