Everyone’s Saying the Same Thing About Lee Corso After ESPN College GameDay Announcement

ESPN’s College GameDay announced on Sunday morning that they would be heading to Bloomington, Indiana in Week 9 for the showdown between the red-hot Indiana Hoosiers and unranked Washington Huskies. This is the second time that GameDay has ever gone to Bloomington, with the other coming in 2017.

It may seem like an interesting game to feature for college football’s biggest show, but when you consider a few factors, it makes sense.

For starters, it’s not a very stacked slate of games in Week 9, with top-25 showdowns between the Oregon Ducks and Illinois Fighting Illini, Alabama Crimson Tide and Missouri Tigers, LSU Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies, and finally the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Army Knights headlining things.

On top of that, making a return to Bloomington makes sense for the legendary Lee Corso, who coached the Hoosiers for 10 years from 1973-1982.

It’s this second point about the GameDay location that has a lot of college football fans saying the same thing.
