Former Orange County Deputy Accused of Murder Absent from Court Appearance

The case of Anthony Shea, the former Orange County deputy accused of the murder of his estranged wife, Lt. Ellie Shea, has taken a convoluted turn as he failed to appear for his first court date on Saturday. According to FOX 35 Orlando, Anthony Shea, who is facing a charge of first-degree murder, was arrested after investigators found Lt. Shea with a fatal gunshot wound in her bedroom. They believed that Anthony murdered her and then tried to stage her death as a suicide, sending text messages from her phone to fabricate an alibi.
