Many things bothered me listening to J.D. Vance at the Vice-Presidential debate. One in particular was his solution to school shootings. He said to prevent shootings in schools, we need tighter security. We need to have stronger doors and windows, and more school resource officers. He misses the point. That does not solve the problem. It’s like having a leaky roof. You can put a bucket under the drip, but you still have a drip.
