Jersey City Woman Arrested for Bayonne Hit-and-Run **Jersey City, NJ** – Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced the arrest of a Jersey City woman in connection with a Bayonne hit-and-run incident. The arrest happened on Thursday when members of the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit apprehended Kalimah Toon, 37, after the event took place on Sunday. Toon faces several charges, including Aggravated Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Endangering an Injured Victim. These charges range in severity from second to fourth degree crimes. Toon was taken into custody at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and transferred to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The Bayonne Police Department was alerted at roughly 12:20 a.m. about a pedestrian struck near Route 440 and 22nd Street. Officers found a 34-year-old Bayonne resident with severe injuries while the vehicle involved had left the scene. The victim is currently in critical condition at Jersey City Medical Center. Investigations reveal Toon had an altercation with the victim and then intentionally struck him with a Ford Escape. Prosecutor Suarez credited
