PA Mom Gets Life For Hanging Deaths Of Her 2 Kids

Additional Coverage:

In a tragic case, a Pennsylvania woman, Lisa Snyder, has received two life sentences without parole for killing her children. Connor, 8, and Brinley, 4, were found hanging in the basement of their home in 2019.

Despite Snyder’s claim that Connor was bullied and suicidal, authorities found no evidence to support this. Instead, they discovered internet searches by Snyder on suicide and hanging.

The judge described the murders as the most violent she had encountered and criticized Snyder for her lack of remorse. Owen Snyder, the victims’ older brother, expressed his devastation and anger, calling his mother a “monster.”

The defense argued the case was based on speculation but was unsuccessful. The coroner ruled both deaths homicides by hanging, and the jury convicted Snyder on two counts of first-degree murder. She was also sentenced to an additional 8 1/2 to 17 years for child endangerment and evidence-tampering.
