Maryland Skydiver tries out BASE Jumping for the first time at Bridge Day

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) – Visitors from across the nation gathered in Fayetteville for the 45 th annual celebration of Bridge Day.

Nathan Willis is a BASE Jumper from Maryland. However, this was his first time ever BASE Jumping, let alone being at Bridge Day.

Local nurse plans to jump for Bridge Day after conquering health condition

“I definitely have had some experience with skydiving, so it was a little easier to translate over to the BASE Jump,” said Willis.

Willis told 59News about his experience at his first ever Bridge Day, outside of the jumping.

“It was amazing just seeing everything out here with the food, the tents up there, there is a bunch to do. So, just to come out and check it out it’s amazing, even if you’re not jumping, like I said, just come out and check it out,” said Willis.
