Triad Forecast: Get ready for mornings in the 40s this week

(WGHP) — After an unseasonable warm afternoon in the Piedmont Triad temperatures will fall into the low 60s by 8 p.m. Sunday. Clear skies remain overnight and allow us to fall into the mid-40s Monday morning.

Sunshine continues to dominate the first half of the week. We’ll reach the mid-70s again Monday afternoon with a light northeast wind.

As high pressure remains in place, our temperatures remain unseasonably warm. We’ll wake up cold in the mornings though with the mid-40s Tuesday morning. By the afternoon we’ll return to the mid-70s.

Wednesday will be similar to the first half of the week with mornings in the 40s and highs reaching the mid-70s.

A cold front moves through the Tar Heel State on Thursday which will allow us to see a warmer start Thursday morning in the mid-50s. By the afternoon we reach the low to mid 70s with plenty of sunshine.

We’ll feel the effects of the fall cold front on Friday with morning temperatures back in the mid-40s and highs in the upper 60s. But, we’ll rebound nicely into Saturday with morning temperatures in the upper 40s and highs reaching the low to mid 70s.
