Clemson University president gets five-year extension

Clemson University’s Board of Trustees extended the contract for President Jim Clements for another five years during its Oct. 18 meeting. Clements has been at the school since Dec. 31, 2013. He is the sixth-longest-serving president in Clemson history. If he fulfills the five-year extension, he will have led the college longer than all but two other presidents – Robert Franklin Poole from 1940-58 and Robert C. Edwards from 1958-79.
