WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said three people were injured after a shooting near Howard University overnight on Sunday.
Police said that at about 1:50 a.m., they responded to the 2200 block of 8 Street in Northwest for the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found two women and a man shot.

All three victims were conscious and breathing.
The victims were transported to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
All three are currently stable, according to MPD.
Police continues to investigate this incident.
