New restaurant moving into former Persimmon Hollow space at Eo Inn

Only a few months after DeLand-based Persimmon Hollow Brewing Company ( Website ) announced the closure of its Lake Eola-adjacent brewery , a new restaurant has signed the lease and is prepping to move in.

Devon Tillman, the former owner/operator of Thornton Park’s Garden Bistro (formerly known as Island Time) made the announcement on his social media channels ahead of a pop-up celebration during the recent Come Out With Pride festival at Lake Eola Park.

Tillman was forced to shutter the restaurant this summer when he was unable to come to a lease agreement with his landlord. His new concept, Outpost Neighborhood Tavern ( Instagram ) will continue to feature local drag performers, just like his previous concept.

An opening date has not been shared publicly at this time.
