Florida’s “Great Migration” Is Reportedly Over, As Some Residents Talk About Moving

I’d suspect if you asked a handful of Floridians about their current level of happiness in the Sunshine State, reactions would be mixed. However, one prominent national publication – The Wall Street Journal – is reporting that Florida’s “great migration” is over and some residents are speaking out about their considerations about moving.

The Wall Street Journal’s Take That The Great Florida Migration Is Over: If you’ve lived in Florida over the last several years, you know that in recent times, Florida saw large amounts of relocators.

The Wall Street Journal identified several issues that it felt were contributing to the end of this trend, which it calls Florida’s “great migration.”

Identified issues were a surplus of housing which is contributing to the cooling of the real estate market, soaring insurance costs, and unpredictable weather that may make these insurance issues even worse.
