Police are searching for a man involved in a stabbing and robbery outside a Hell’s Kitchen deli Sunday evening.
According to the NYPD, at 4:33pm officers responded to a 911 call of a robbery at W57th Street and 10th Avenue.
When they arrived, police said an unidentified male had stabbed a 42-year-old man in the torso with “an unknown cutting instrument”. The perpetrator then stole the victim’s cell phone and fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on 10th Avenue.
A video taken by a Citizen user shows two police cars parked in front of Roosevelt Gourmet Deli, with officers patrolling the area before an ambulance arrived.
The victim was transported by emergency medical services to Mount Sinai St Luke’s Hospital in stable condition.
This was not the only serious incident that police responded to in Hell’s Kitchen on Sunday.
Police say a 39-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg at approximately 4:20am at W50th Street and the West Side Highway. A man accidentally shot his accomplice while attempting a robbery at the same location in April .
