tour. She ran through hits and fan-favorite songs, but there was an extra special moment when she noticed a simple sign a fan was holding in the crowd that read:

“We survived Helene.”

Of course, I think we’ve all seen photos and videos of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene that ripped through the southeast, and the recovery efforts in many mountain towns in western North Carolina and other states is ongoing. So far, the death toll is over 230 people and there are still around 100 or so missing in North Carolina. It’s been a tough time for our state, along with others like South Carolina and Georgia, and Lainey got emotional herself talking about it, especially knowing that people who survived the horrific storm were in the crowd and trying to escape that reality at her concert. She got choked up talking about how sad the whole thing is, telling the fans that brought the sign that the show was for them and she was so thankful they were at her show:
