(WCYB) – Disaster Unemployment Assistance is available for people who lost their jobs or had work hours reduced due to Helene in East Tennessee. People who live in, work in or travel to their job through Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hamblen, Hawkins, Johnson, Unicoi or Washington counties can apply for assistance. These benefits will cover Sept. 29 to April 5, 2025, if unemployment continues to be a direct result of the storm.
