Perched on the water less than a five-hour drive from Atlanta, Mobile is an often-overlooked destination with plenty to offer in the way of history, hospitality, and hearty food. Thanks to its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico and French roots, Mobile has many of the same culinary (and cultural) characteristics as its sister city of New Orleans.
