The University of Mobile has something to celebrate!

Their very first class of nurse anesthetists from the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the National Certification Exam (NCE).

This isn’t just a milestone for the university, but the highest pass rate in Alabama for 2024.

Considering the national average is 83%, this achievement really stands out.

Dr. Todd Hicks, the program’s director, couldn’t be more proud. He said the program, launched in 2021, was designed to set students up for success.

The Class of 2024 followed through, trusting the process, and now they’re ready to begin their high-demand careers.

Bright Careers and Local Impact

All 12 of the program’s graduates are now Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), with salaries starting at $190,000 and higher.

Even before finishing the program, each one had job offers lined up in a field that’s ranked among the top 5 careers by U.S. News & World Report.
