Man shot several times in Winston-Salem on East 24th Street, taken to hospital, police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is in the hospital after a shooting in Winston-Salem on Monday afternoon, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release.

Around 3:40 p.m., officers with the WSPD responded to the 1900 block of East Twenty-Fourth Street when they were told about a shooting.

Arriving officers found a 48-year-old Winston-Salem man who had been shot several times.

He was taken to a hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No suspect information is available at this time. Investigators say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
