Nashville mayor delays LPR funding, cites policy concerns amid rising crime

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) – Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell says he is holding up the funding for License Plate Readers (LPRs) because the policy needs to be fine-tuned. But he has been saying this since summer, even as his own police chief, district attorney, and council have called for the implementation of LPRs.
