Kinlaw’s Welcome Grill is open Tuesday, even as investigators continue to examine the charred remains of its adjacent meat market that was destroyed by fire Saturday night.
Catering coordinator Mandie Forbes said Monday that the restaurant, where she’s worked for 14 years, plans to reopen Tuesday with a limited menu.
“Some of our specialty items may be unavailable for the time being, but we are working on getting the store up and running,” Forbes said.
She said that the loss of the market makes securing goods more difficult.
“The convenience of having a fresh meat cutting room right next door was amazing. Now (we’re) having to outsource and find comparable products,” she said.
