BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) – Our WLOX family and South Mississippi are mourning the passing of former colleague, friend, and Mississippi broadcasting icon Barbara Salloum. Salloum’s career began in Jackson hosting a teen dance show, but she and her family moved to South Mississippi, going on air on WLOX in 1977.
