Mild Weather Expected Before Rainy Weekend in Northern California

The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued an updated forecast indicating dry weather and mild daytime temperatures across Northern California for the week ahead. High pressure is expected to build over the region, leading to clear skies and a northerly flow that will dry out the coastal areas.

While dry conditions prevail tonight and into Tuesday, cooler overnight temperatures are anticipated, particularly in the interior valleys, where frost may develop early Tuesday morning. Temperatures could drop into the mid-30s, especially in northern Mendocino and northern Lake counties.

As the week progresses, a weak trough in the westerly flow will bring high clouds, keeping temperatures near seasonal normals. However, clearer skies and drying conditions are expected by Thursday and Friday, increasing the likelihood of frost in the interior and coastal river valleys.
