Firefighters extinguished a brush fire late Sunday at an encampment near the intersection of 13th Avenue and Commerce Street, according to the Eugene-Springfield Fire Department.
Fire crews quickly arrived at the scene behind a Walmart in west Eugene around 8:20 p.m. to find an area of brush and the encampment burning.
The fire department said crews initially had issues accessing the area but were able to bring additional resources to the site to assist.
No injuries were reported, and crews spent about 90 minutes extinguishing the fire.
The cause of the fire was unknown as of Monday afternoon.
