CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three students were hurt in a school bus crash at Independence High School on Tuesday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said. A CMS spokesperson confirmed the crash happened at 7 a.m. In a note sent to parents, Independence administrators said three students suffered minor injuries in the collision. A district spokesperson confirmed the police were called to the scene as a precaution. CMS didn’t provide an update on the students’ injuries, citing privacy laws.
