Police chase on I-94 ends in crash in Chicago’s Logan Square

CHICAGO — A police chase on Interstate 94 involving a vehicle in a possible kidnapping ended in a crash in the city’s Logan Square neighborhood.

According to Illinois State Police, the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. Monday on southbound I-94 north of Dundee Road.

Preliminary information indicates that state trooper located a vehicle involved in a possible armed kidnapping and a traffic stop was attempted, but the driver failed to stop.

ISP says a police pursuit ensued and continued into the streets of Chicago. The pursuit ended at the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Diversey Avenue after the vehicle being pursued struck another car.

Man shot to death at home on Far South Side

ISP says three people ran from the vehicle, but were all taken into custody a short time later. They were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
