Denver Broncos will not be trading for Alvin Kamara

The Denver Broncos have been connected to New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara in trade talks, mostly through Broncos fans, for several days now dating back to last week’s game between the two teams.

Those talks were speculative , but most of them centered around the post-game meeting between Kamara and Broncos head coach Sean Payton.

It’s not hard to connect the dots here. Kamara played under Payton for several years and became one of the league’s top running backs in his offense. The Saints are a bad team right now and could be a “seller” before the November 5th trade deadline and the Broncos are trending towards competing for a playoff spot and thus could be a “buyer”.

However, none of that will be happening. That is because on Tuesday, Kamara and the Saints agreed to a two-year contract extension that will keep him with the team. The Saints may have grown tired of all of the noise surrounding Kamara and a potential deal before the deadline (with the Broncos or any other team) and just decided to put those talks to rest now.
