Wildflower Ice Cream is set to open its doors in St. Petersburg early next year at 2603 9th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33704, owner Steve McGarry shared with Business Debut.
Steve and his wife, Sarah McGarry, were inspired to create a local neighborhood dessert shop following the closure of Dairy Inn, which shuttered after 75 years in business. The couple wanted to provide a convenient spot for families in the area to enjoy treats without needing to travel downtown.
Wildflower Ice Cream will specialize in custom soft-serve ice cream, offering both dairy and non-dairy options. Using a Swirl Freeze machine, patrons can select from various flavors of hard-scooped ice cream and toppings like fruit, locally baked goods and candies to be blended into a custom swirl. A signature at Wildflower will be New Zealand-style real fruit ice cream, blending berries and hard scoop ice cream to create a fresh and fruity soft serve dessert.
The McGarrys, local to St. Pete, will partner with nearby bakeries, candy stores, and vendors to bring their custom soft-serve creations to the Crescent Heights neighborhood.
