Fall Festival Half Pot winner comes forward for the first time

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The mystery of the Fall Festival Half Pot winner is over. The winner has made a public appearance to claim their prize during a West Side Nut Club press conference Tuesday afternoon.

The record-breaking half pot winner is none other than Al Lindsey from Evansville, who has chosen to come forward to accept his winnings.

Prior to Lindsey’s announcement, the West Side Nut Club readdressed rumors about the Half Pot is rigged, which they previously debunked in a post on social media .

On Tuesday afternoon, Lindsey publicly came forward to further debunk the “rigged” rumors. The WSNC personally handed him his check after the announcement was made.

“My family and I are forever grateful to this organization for this wonderful gift,” says Lindsey. “It is a life-changing event for myself and my family.”

Lindsey says he is no stranger to the west side. His son was born during the Fall Festival 46 years ago.
