Unlicensed Lancaster County woman charged for fatal crash

MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County woman has been charged after a fatal crash in Manheim Township.

Manheim Township Police say on September 28, Gleny Asencio De Valdez allegedly turned left in front of another motorist, causing her to strike their vehicle in the area of Fruitville Pike and Manheim Pike.

The second motorist was severely injured and died on October 14 from injuries sustained in the crash.

Police say Asencio De Valdez had a learner’s permit but did not have anyone in the vehicle as required by law. Police also noted that video captured the crash and that all lights were working properly.

Asencio De Valdez has been charged with a felony for accidents involving death or injury while not licensed as well as traffic violations.
