Joseph Pichler had performed under the lights. He was in commercials before he was old enough for kindergarten, and he had roles on the big screen, well before his 18th birthday.

Joe took his acting roles seriously, even as a child. He was particular about his roles as he never wanted to be typecast, and he turned down any role that devalued his morals.
Joe’s family was from the greater Seattle area, and although he moved to Los Angeles when he was a young child to pursue acting, he moved back in 2002 at age 15 to attend high school.
His goal was always to move back to Los Angeles.
On January 4, 2006, Joe and some friends stayed up late playing cards. In particular, Joe was an avid fan of the game MAGIC.
At 4:15 a.m., Joe called a friend he had been playing cards with earlier. He was very upset, although the friend wasn’t exactly sure why, and he seemed drunk. His friend told him that he’d call him back in about an hour.
An hour later, however, Joe wasn’t answering the phone.
