JobPod partners with Microsoft to offer digital literacy training in Wisconsin

GREEN BAY − A job search initiative partnered with Microsoft to help community members acquire new skills.

JobPod , an initiative that provides job seekers with resources through public libraries, recently partnered with Microsoft to provide digital literacy training and technology skills, according to a news release. JobPod was created by the Bay Area Workforce Development Board , the Brown County Library , the Department of Workforce Development , and the Nicolet Federated Library System .

According to the release, JobPod merges workforce development services with “the welcoming spaces of community libraries.”

“This initiative will facilitate opportunities for community members to learn, grow, and succeed in a rapidly evolving job market,” the release said.

The partnership was officially launched at an event in the Brown County East Branch Library in Green Bay, bringing together community leaders and stakeholders to celebrate the collaboration.
