Docs: Man charged with dealing resulting in death in Hamilton County fentanyl overdose

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — A man has been arrested and charged for allegedly supplying fentanyl that led to the overdose death of a woman in Hamilton County.

According to court documents, 25-year-old Alfreddie Peterson Jr. was arrested and preliminarily charged with dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death, a Level 1 felony. As of Wednesday morning, Peterson is listed as an inmate in the Hamilton County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

An investigation was launched on Feb. 12, when officers with the Noblesville Police Department were called around 7:15 p.m. to the 15400 block of Old Pond Circle in response to reports of an unconscious female. When authorities arrived on the scene, they located an unresponsive female, later identified as 22-year-old Hannah Field.

Field was soon pronounced dead on the scene and the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Detectives learned the victim lived with her parents who informed police that Field was released from the hospital a month prior for a reported overdose on Jan. 18.
