Erie police seek bicycle-riding bandit who robbed person of cash at eastside ATM

Erie police are searching for a bandit on a bicycle who robbed a person of cash at an automatic teller machine on the city’s east side Tuesday night.

The robbery was reported at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the PNC Bank branch at 3830 Pine Ave.

According to police, a person was withdrawing money from an ATM at the bank branch when a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and riding a bicycle robbed the victim of cash. The suspect then fled.

Police did not have a suspect in the robbery Wednesday morning..
