WYOCENA, Wis. (WFRV) – A driver in southcentral Wisconsin, who reportedly tried to avoid being pulled over by pulling into a random driveway, was arrested for felony OWI, his fifth offense.
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office , around 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, a deputy on patrol in the Town of Wyocena noticed a vehicle with an equipment violation and attempted a traffic stop.

Authorities say that the driver, later identified as 42-year-old Brandon Tomlinson, allegedly seemed to avoid having the deputy travel behind him. Tomlinson reportedly pulled into a random driveway, leading to a traffic stop.
When the deputy made contact with Tomlinson, he reportedly noticed numerous indicators that Tomlinson was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
After a subsequent OWI investigation, Tomlinson was arrested on the following charges:
- Operating While Intoxicated, 5th Offense
- Operating After Revocation, OWI-Related
- Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device
